Call for Demos
IOT 2008 seeks proposals for live demonstrations describing novel work on systems, applications and services of the Internet reaching out into the real world of physical objects. Demonstrations will be presented during breaks and the evening reception of the main conference. Demos are meant to introduce new or ongoing work and provide opportunities for authors to interact directly with workshop attendees.
(Please note that both research prototypes and commercial products are welcome, but the demos of IOT 2008 are not an appropriate forum for marketing and sales teams, please consider our sponsoring opportunities for that purpose. The person presenting the demo is expected to explain the technical contributions of the system to the audience.)
Demo submissions must include an extended abstract no longer than four A4 pages (Springer LNCS format), including all figures and references. Demos must be submitted electronically in an email message to the Demo Chair at demos@iot2008.org. The subject line should read "IOT DEMO SUBMISSION" (in upper-case letters). The body of the email should include, in pure text, the title of the demo and the author list, including affiliations. The abstract should be attached in PDF format. Demonstration submissions should include infrastructure needs, such as power, network, and the like. Furthermore, supporting material, such as story line, expected set-up, screenshots, videos, are welcome but not mandatory.
The extended abstracts of demonstrations will be posted on the conference website.
